Cancellation & Refund Policy

Applies to: Ideabaaz Tech Pvt Ltd ("Ideabaaz") and all products/services sold via ideabaaz.co.in

1. Overview

This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs all paid products and services offered by Ideabaaz, including but not limited to the Ideabaaz Startup Fest, Demo Day, Award Nominations, Investor Passes, Stall Bookings, workshops, and any related events or digital products.

By completing a purchase on ideabaaz.co.in or any associated payment link, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Policy.

2. No Refund Policy

All payments made to Ideabaaz are final and non-refundable. This applies to every product and service we sell, including:

  • Demo Day Pass: ₹1,999 + GST
  • Award Nomination Fee: ₹4,999 + GST
  • Investor Access Pass: ₹10,000 + GST
  • Stall Bookings: All tiers — Starter, Growth, Scale, Premium
  • Workshop Passes, Sponsorship Fees, and any other paid services

Once a payment is successfully processed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Change of mind or change in business priorities
  • Inability to attend the event for personal, professional, medical, or travel reasons
  • Visa, passport, or travel-related issues
  • Non-shortlisting for Demo Day, Cohort, Awards, or any curated programme
  • Failure to win an award or receive a deal at the event
  • Disagreement with event format, scheduling, speaker line-up, or programming changes
  • Dissatisfaction with outcomes, networking opportunities, or business results
  • Personal or third-party scheduling conflicts

3. No Cancellation Policy

Bookings, registrations, and nominations cannot be cancelled once payment is made. There is no cooling-off period after purchase. Once a transaction is completed, the order is treated as final and confirmed.

4. No Transfer Policy

Paid passes, bookings, and nominations are strictly non-transferable. The purchaser named at the time of payment is the sole authorised holder of the pass, stall, or nomination. The following are not permitted:

  • Transfer of a pass or stall to another individual or company
  • Substitution of nominees on an Award entry
  • Resale, gifting, or assignment of any product to a third party
  • Changes to the registered name, company, or contact details after payment

Any pass or stall presented by a person other than the registered purchaser may be denied entry or removed from the venue at Ideabaaz's sole discretion, without refund.

5. Product-Specific Terms

5.1 Demo Day Pass (₹1,999 + GST)

Purchase of a Demo Day Pass entitles the registered founder to apply for the Demo Day pitch shortlist. Selection of the Top 10 startups is at the sole discretion of Ideabaaz and its curation panel. Non-selection does not entitle the purchaser to a refund, partial refund, or credit.

5.2 Award Nomination (₹4,999 + GST)

Award Nomination fees cover the cost of evaluation, jury review, and shortlisting. Fees are payable regardless of whether the nominee is shortlisted, nominated as a finalist, or wins an award.

5.3 Investor Access Pass (₹10,000 + GST)

The Investor Access Pass grants the registered investor access to the Demo Day floor, investor lounge, and networking sessions. The pass does not guarantee deal flow, investment opportunities, or any specific outcome. No refund will be issued based on perceived quality of startups, deal flow, or networking experience.

5.4 Stall Bookings (all tiers)

Stall bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Stall allocation, location, and final floor placement are determined by Ideabaaz at its sole discretion. Requests for specific stall positions cannot be guaranteed. Once allocated, stalls cannot be exchanged, returned, or refunded.

6. Failed or Duplicate Transactions

In the event of a technical failure where the payment is debited from your account but the order is not confirmed in our system, or in the case of a duplicate transaction caused by a payment gateway error, the disputed amount will be reviewed and refunded to the original payment method within 7–14 working days, subject to verification with our payment partner.

This is the only circumstance under which a refund may be issued.

To raise a payment dispute, write to contact@ideabaaz.co.in within 7 days of the transaction with your payment reference number and bank statement screenshot.

7. Changes to Event Format

Ideabaaz reserves the right to modify the event programme, schedule, speaker line-up, venue layout, or any other aspect of the Ideabaaz Startup Fest at its sole discretion. Such modifications do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or credit.

8. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer in violation of this Policy will result in:

  • Immediate cancellation of all associated passes, bookings, and nominations
  • Removal from the Ideabaaz ecosystem and platform
  • Forfeiture of any complimentary benefits, perks, or future eligibility
  • Potential legal action to recover dues, costs, and damages

9. Acceptance

By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree:

  • You have read and understood this Cancellation & Refund Policy in full
  • You accept that all sales are final
  • You waive any right to seek a refund, cancellation, or transfer except as explicitly stated in Section 6 (Failed or Duplicate Transactions)
